Principle:              The older we get the more we choose from.

Title:                      Matching.

Materials:             Level 1.          Baby doll, rattle, diaper, bottle. Child doll, tricycle, crayon, ball. Adult doll, knife car, calculator.

Levels 2 & 3.   Pictures of the above items.

Direction:             Review today's principle. Introduce today's activity by stating that the children will match people of different ages to things that the people can use.

Review principle.

Model:                    Use self talk to model reflective thinking as you make comparisons and match the dolls to the objects.

Introduce activity and demonstrate matching objects with dolls or people pictures.

Activity:                 As the children take turns, point out that they know what people of different ages can do.  Ask the students how they know in order to help them evaluate their work.

Have children match people and appropriate objects and help them evaluate their success.

Evaluation:            Level 1. What is this?
                      What did we just do?
Level 2.         How did you do that?
Level 3.         What will you do different next time?
                      What will you do the same next time?
                      Why?

Assist children in evaluating this activity and their strategies.
