Daily Principle:

      Level 1,2.   We can do something different.

      Level 3.      We can change.

Rationale:

People are always changing.  We want the children to anticipate change and we want them to be aware that they can make simple changes (and complex changes).

Title:                      A song or story.

Materials:             Whatever is necessary for the story or song teacher selects.

Introduction:        Review the unit and introduce the Daily Principle.

Introduce principle.

Activity:                 Begin a song or begin to read a story.  Stop in the middle of the activity and state a reason for wanting to change this activity.  Change or adapt the activity.

Begin the activity and then change it.

Summary:             After finishing the activity, summarize by stating that it is sometimes o.k. to change activities.

Discuss how changes are possible and can be exciting.
